With a desire to support those more vulnerable within the community, Tracey-Lee has been a OoHC Foster Parent and Disability Host Carer for a decade. Wishing to better advocate for those in her care, Tracey-Lee undertook a Diploma of Community Services. Her practical completion was experienced in Fiji, where she was involved in the delivery of health focussed education within the Fijian community.
This is where her passion for learning led her to complete a Bachelor of Social Welfare (with Distinction), where she concentrated on the physical, psychological, and developmental effects of trauma. During this period, Tracey-Lee attended China with Charles Sturt University, to better understand the community effects and processes involved in Disaster Recovery. These cultural experiences have given her a deeper understanding of the importance of culture within recovery.
Tracey-Lee is currently working toward a Masters in Mental Health to better support individuals through an understanding of the latest evidence-based-practices, and to date has attained a Graduate Certificate in Mental Health. With lived experience of disabilities and addiction, together with management of NDIS funding, Tracey-Lee has worked within the psychosocial recovery area. Her passion and enthusiasm for the recovery model, trauma-informed care, and strength-based and evidence-based practices, led her to establishing Access AutonoME. Tracey-Lee is currently building a professional team to work individually with participants, toward recognising and realising their recovery goals.
